Full Day Tour to Alberobello, Castellana Caves and Polignano from Bari, 1 Day

Departure at 09:45 AM from the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari, destination Alberobello, approximately 1 hour by car from Bari.

Alberobello, the town of “trulli,” is a fairytale village, an enchanting place where it feels like walking among gnome houses. Its historic center is one of the most famous UNESCO sites in the region. Alberobello will be the highlight of your trip to Puglia!

After the visit, we will move to Castellana Grotte to explore the longest underground karst caves in Italy. With over 3 km of paths reserved for visitors and a speleological guide, you will enter a surprising and unexpected hidden world: enormous columns, calcium carbonate stalactites and stalagmites, curtains resembling alabaster, and cavities reminiscent of Dante’s Inferno will accompany you through the splendid white cave, a dazzling cave considered one of the most beautiful in Europe.

Afterwords, we will move from Castellana Grotte to Polignano a Mare, approximately a half-hour drive, where you will have free time to have lunch and explore the city.
We will take a walking tour of Polignano a Mare, a spectacular and panoramic town located south of Bari, perched on a high white cliff overlooking the sea. Polignano a Mare offers a maze of alleyways that surprisingly open onto balconies 30 meters above sea level. Known as the capital of Puglia’s artisanal gelato, it is the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, whose statue stands proudly along the beautiful seafront promenade. With its turquoise and clean sea, Polignano a Mare has been the setting for several international film sets and is one of the most famous tourist destinations, awarded by Legambiente!

At 4:30 PM, we will return to Bari, where we will arrive at 5:30 PM.
