Full Day Tour to Alberobello, Monopoli and Polignano from Bari, 1 Day

Departure at 09:00 from the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari, heading to Alberobello, about a one-hour drive from Bari.

Alberobello, the city of trulli, is a fairy tale village, an enchanted place where it seems like you are walking among the houses of gnomes. In reality, it is a real village where the inhabitants live all year round in small circular buildings with conical stone roofs on which mysterious symbols are drawn. Its historic center is one of the most famous UNESCO sites in the region, with more than a thousand trulli in many narrow streets that climb up the hill, typical peasant dwellings with a long and very interesting history! Alberobello is the most important stop on your trip to Puglia!

The second stop is Monopoli, which we will reach after about 30 minutes by car, along one of the most beautiful and panoramic roads in the region. Mono-polis is the quintessential “unique” Puglian city and is located on the south coast of Bari. Monopoli has a picturesque old quarter, spread out on a small peninsula overlooking the sea and protected by a high city wall still equipped with cannons and a sixteenth-century castle. It offers unforgettable views in the streets perfumed by the sea breeze. This city has the soul of a real fishing village, quiet and peaceful during the day, but in the evening it becomes one of the liveliest stops on the Puglian nightlife scene, with bars and clubs in the port and beaches where you can dance barefoot on the sand in the warm Puglian nights.

Free time for lunch and then we will reach Polignano a Mare in about 30 minutes. Spectacular and panoramic is the location of the historic center of this town south of Bari, perched on a high white cliff overlooking the sea. Polignano a Mare offers a labyrinth of alleys that surprisingly open onto balconies 30 meters above sea level. The capital of Puglian artisanal ice cream, it is the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, whose statue dedicated to him towers over the splendid seafront of the city. It has been the setting for several international film sets and is one of the most famous tourist destinations for its turquoise and clean sea, awarded by Legambiente!

Departure from Polignano a Mare at 15:30 to return to Bari, about an hour away.
